The surprising decision of the Ukrainian government to freeze the association agreement with the EU has caused new tensions and protests throughout the country. On Monday the police resorted to using batons, teargas and force to disperse opposition activists who were protesting in favor of the continuation of Ukraine's Euro-integration.
