Mysticism in politics?
Oct. 20th, 2010 01:33 amQ: Do you beleive that there is mysticism in politicz?
A: I don't believe there's mysticism in politics. There's only economic interest. It's at the bottom of everything. There's nothing mystical in economic interest.
I also don't believe you can refer to a country or a nation as a person. Countries and nations are complex and diverse things, especially large ones. There's nothing like a set purpose or task or mission in front of a country other than to self perpetuate and improve its position, which again boils down to power, and ultimately, economic interest.
Sorry to spoil it for you. Idealism is nice but only when it exists in books. Whenever someone attempts to put it to practice, things get ugly.
