Sputnik-V is not just a rocket

The Soviets, and their natural successor Russia have always been known for giving one major thing to the world: missiles. And rockets, bombs, grenades, rifles, tanks, etc. You get the idea. They've often been mocked for not being particularly creative in any field not involving things going kaboom, and ridding people of limbs and entrails. Hell, they can't even do a simple thing like producing a car that people might actually enjoy driving! Right?

And now - boom! Sputnik-V. It may come at the tip of a sharp object, yet it ain't no missile. What the hell!? Where did THAT come from?...
