E-nobles turned e-averages

Have you been in a situation where someone you totally thought was the epitome of reason and the eternal voice of composed sensibility, for no apparent motivation other than having a bunch of shits'n'giggles in a hidden corner with their buddies, suddenly goes all stabby-shoot'n'runn-y with you, and essentially (at least temporarily) turns themselves into just another average troll who's got nothing valuable to add but snark, even though they might in fact eventually turn out to be generally on your side of an issue?

We all do have our low moments, I'll give you that. It still doesn't make that any less disappointing, though.
